The lights are on
Two thoughts crossed my mind the first time I saw 3D Dot Game Heroes: this game looks a hell of a lot like The Legend of Zelda… and I need to put Link in this game immediately. Leave it up to me to boldly venture into the realm of obvious and deliver you an exclusive video of a custom-created Link hero tearing it up in Dotnia.
3D Dot Game Heroes' robust character editor allows you to put whatever you can dream up into the game. This video is a montage of my custom Link doing his thing, so please note that the events in this video aren't sequential. Additionally, the characters in the game automatically hold shields in their left hand, which I well know is traditionally Link's sword hand.

my god! that video was awesome!!! btw, that game has to be the biggest Zelda ripoff EVER!!!!!! everything about the world, items, enemies, etc. screams Zelda. The music and custom Link made it seem like a true Zelda game. If Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Nintendo has to be mighty pleased with themselves.
This kinda makes me want to play this game now. The Legend of Zelda, not 3d Dot Game Heroes
This makes me even more excited for this games. The huge sword thing is so ridiculous, its actually pretty cool.
@ Tim
That was too sweet! I am going to rip-off your rip-off of Link as soon as I get this game. Great stuff!
OH!!this should be fun!!^_^
good thing you put that disclaimer before someone calls shenanigans on you
I love this video. I'm pretty pumped for this game.
@Tim: Way to preemptively deflect corrections by mentioning the whole left-handed thing.
The game looks a bit herky-jerky, frame rate seems to be a bit choppy. But, the game looks awesome. this is one i'm definitely looking forward to playing.
I think this game ripped off God Of War III
That was cool. I really wish there was a 360 version coming out!
ok...now i think this game is awesome
Well done. How long do you think it took you to create your custom Link in game?
@Eyros the practical
You know, I probably spent about half a day putzing around with the character creator. Getting your head around turning 2D sprites into a 3D model is tough.
epic. this just made want the game for sure. needs to go buy this
Wow, Shogo Sakai FTW - I hadn't played SSBB, so that alone was worth it.
Good yo see a game that doesn't try to be radically new, just a throwback to simpler times, before we had 8 health bars and 25465436796734 different gadgets we never used.
this game is gonna be a lotta fun im sure honestly i fell in love with it the first time i seen it.
