ZEN Studios Shifting From Pinballs To Mini Golf Balls

Miniature-golf enthusiasts will have one more option to choose from this spring when ZEN Studios releases its Planet MiniGolf on the PlayStation Network. The Hungary-based developers, perhaps best known for their work on the XBLA and PSN pinball game ZEN Pinball, are using their ball-physics engine on more than 140 tiny fairways. In addition to the wide selection of courses, ZEN promises loads of multiplayer options, including weekly online tournaments, and a “deep single-player campaign.” Additionally, the game will support the PlayStation Move, Sony’s motion controller.

“Just as we have delivered the ultimate pinball experience with ZEN Pinball, Planet MiniGolf will serve as the ultimate arcade golfing experience on the PlayStation Network,” said Zsolt Kigyossy, managing director of ZEN Studios. “Planet MiniGolf gives casual players and golfing aficionados alike everything they could ask for in a golf game, with wacky courses, character customization, custom course builder and global competitions.”

  • Sounds like it would be pretty cool. I have a PS3 but id much rather have it on my xbox. Wonder why their not putting it on xbox live. All well.

  • This could be great. Even though mini golf in reality is fun, I think hitting a virtual ball will be just as great, especially since it has over 140 fairways.

  • That sounds cool, not really into golf though

  • Have and love Zen Pinball so I will most likely pick this up.  Move compatibility sounds interesting because this is the kind of game that would work wonders for (and at the cost of what $15 at most you can't argue with the price).  Even if the Move is only good for an alternative control scheme on full releases I'm sure a lot of PSN games like this one will take full advantage of it.

  • huh

  • All I care about is granturismo 5. Enough with the rest of this crap.

  • ...and here comes the next craze. Planet (insert name here) Didn't we already have this online with Planet Quake, etc...

My concern is that It'll be a good good game that took a hit because folks think it's a rip-off of Little Big Planet.

    Hope I'm wrong.
