The lights are on
In January, Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City would be available on the PS3 and PC, slated for a March 30 release via retail or digital download. Today Rockstar announced that the release will be delayed until April.
As stated on Rockstar's newswire: "Due to a last minute game submission request from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to edit some of the in-game Liberty City radio station, television, and internet content – we are forced to delay the worldwide release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for both PlayStation 3 and PC for an extra two weeks." The new release dates set are April 13 in North America and April 16 in Europe.
The cited reason for delay is to re-test the edited European version and re-submit the game to PlayStation for review. The reason the Europe version is specifically being edited is to comply with the regional ratings board. Even though the European version is the only version affected, both European and North American versions are delayed so that they still release within the same week. Also note to prep for the release, GTA IV PS3 leaderboards at Rockstar
Games Social Club will be down for one week beginning March 22.
Are you bummed about the delay? Or perhaps you've waited so long for this release that another two weeks won't hurt, right?
Two weeks! suck it up.
I don't see why they just don't release the US version on the original day
I am glad it is delayed. SONY does not need to put this game on PS3. It is a horrible game!!!
and I have now lost all reason to live
I bought this on xbox, Because im a GTA 4 nut. My GTA 4 broke though.
Why don't they just release it on the normal release date in North America???
omg i can't wait to get all stoned and play Lost and Damned finally! I <3 LIBERTY CITY!!!
@solid sev09:because that would make the europeans very sad
wait what is that i hear... oh its the microsoft execs silently chuckling in the background
thanks a lot sony. I shoot you with my hand, PEW PEW PEW!
Well about time but... yeah two weeks won't make anyone cry more than when they found it was an exclusive to 360
i have waited forever.....oh well...
2 weeks insn't that bad. Now I'll have time to save up some money.
Two weeks isn't that long compared to how long Alan Wake has been delayed since it was announced.I thought that game would never come out.
i just want to see a dirty hairy game already but have it be like a sequel and a sand box crime game
from the other side but since dirty hairy plays by his own rules he can beat people and shoot at a hooker a *** would be FREAKIN SWEET
Let's hear it for Princess Robot Bubblegum!
Hmm, don't think this will get much playtime from me, I'll be getting it, but Conviction takes priority :P
