The lights are on
We’re still on the opening act of the Activision vs. Modern Warfare creators drama, but a new development has cropped up. Vince Zampella and Jason West have signed with the Creative Artists Agency. The Creative Artists Agency is an elite entertainment and sports agency in LA. It's home to original Xbox creator, Seamus Blackley, who now works as an agent for video game talent . The CAA has helped the likes of Cliffy B, Tim Schafer, and Ken Levine secure contracts for past triple-A projects. With the blockbuster-producing Modern Warfare duo in the CAA’s capable hands, we’re sure they'll be the sought after ravenously. When they'll be legally green-lit to develop another game is another question.Looking for a interesting view on the Infinity Ward vs. Activision business? Great.
Nice.
thank god! MW is overrated, now maybe they will make a game worth while. Back to to BC2 laterz.
cool.
Good for them. BTW, can't stands me a fanboy, especially when they claim that something "sucks" or is "overrated" just because they don't care for it.
Well good for them. They are talented guys and hopefully they are able to get back to making games in the near future. I hope they retain the rights to the Modern Warfare series and then just hold it for a few years. Before everything blew up between Infinity Ward and Activision the IW studios were open about walking away from the Call of Duty games for a while. They know that the series will go the way of Guitar Hero if they don't slow down, so that's what they were going to do. Personally I won't be very interested if another developer takes on the next MW project but if they retain rights and brew up a sequel in 4 years, I'd really look forward to that. Especially if they can get with a publisher that just let's them do their thing and not pressure.
HOORAY!!! can't wait to see what they make, it will be awesome and I can't stand activision "$3 per map 2 of which already existed that took us about a day to port"
@sealsaa it was a joke. I actually owned MW2 but decided to sell it because it did not appeal to me any longer. The Glitches among so many other problems that plagued the game killed the experience for me. (Fanboy I am not) I do not discourage anyone who is looking forward to playing this title, it just was not for me. This title would have better benefited to have had a beta and demo but seeing as previously stated that vince and Jason did not really put heart and soul into it along with a rushed deadline this game falls into the category "Big Hype" with not as much backing as was promised. Not to mention 1200 MS Points or (15$-20$) for the DLC ugh. Onto relevant matters Grats to Vince and Jason for landing such a promising position. I hope we will see you put your skills to a game that deserve it. Back to BC2.
Well work is work!
This sounds like great news. The only question I have is, have these guys lost the right to their game engine and various inventions tied to the MW franchise? And once the IW contract is finito, will those guys be free agents able and/or willing to join their old bosses or what?
i find this good news.
anywhere the wind blows...
now watch them burn activision ass...go boys!!
Glad they found another line of work. Now let's hope this lawsuit has a smooth sailing.
Good. I hope the video game industry unionizes.
this is pretty awesome news. now we know we'll most likely be getting only pure talent from those two guys, meaning great games for us.
This is great news for Zampella and West.
Go IW! that mean they can develop an adult game under an alias lam and little kids will go away
Is this thing still going on?
Even though I'm sick of IW, congrats to them.
