ModNation Racers Pre-Order Program Kicks Off Today

ModNation Racers is the upcoming kart racer that follows Sony's Play, Create and Share ideology kicked off by LittleBigPlanet. You'll design your own racers, karts and create custom tracks to share and race with friends when the game releases on May 25. Today select retailers are officially taking pre-orders and providing a few perks to sweeten the deal.

Depending where you pre-order your copy you'll get a Mod'ed version of either Kratos, Ratchet or Clank, or Nathan Drake. Each of Sony's darlings race in themed karts (see above). Here's the breakdown for pre-order bonuses:

GameStop: Kratos and his Kart of Chaos

Amazon: Ratchet or Clank

Best Buy: Nathan Drake and his Jungle Jeep

Plus, each pre-order regardless of location will earn you an additional Mystery Mod and Kart package that includes not only a special mod and kart, but bonus accessories to make your own tricked out rides. There are four possibilities, but they will remain a mystery until you get your hands on it.

Definitely Kratos. Their Nathan Drake doesn't look Nathan Drakey enough. Didn't even know who it was until I read it.

None of this matters though because I plan on making a badass wizard for my racer.

Kratos looks kind of strange but his car is cool.

Nathan Drake just looks like some stereotypical teenager who thinks he's amazing...it doesn't even look remotely like Drake!

sounds cool. I was planning on checking out this game already, but i think ill just preorder to get the skins. Kratos looks cool, Drake gives me odd Shia Flashbacks *shudder* but his jeep is awesome, and i really could care less for ratchet or clank. Now i just need $10.

Not gonna preorder, but if I was, it would be at GameStop. They have the best of everything.

When I get this game, depending on the reviews, first thing I'm gonna do is make a Mach 5 and Speed Racer. It's going to be awesome
