Brink Trailer Filled To Brim With Jumping, Shooting, More Shooting

Bethesda and Splash Damage have just released a new CG trailer for the upcoming FPS Brink. In a world already oversaturated with shooters, developers have to offer players a few good reasons to check out their games. In addition to its strikingly stylized visuals, Brink gives players a little extra control over their characters through the SMART button. The feature, short for “smooth movement across random terrain,” lets characters seamlessly bound over, around and through obstacles.

The latest trailer is CG, but it at least gives potential players an idea of what Splash Damage is shooting for with the final product. If the action contained is any indication, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.

    it looks cool but i doubt it will draw in a crowd. a cult classic maybe

    Dunno, I think it looks pretty cool.  I like the concept.  It looks like the next stage in evolution from the character classes from MW2.  One thing I'm not a fan of is the cartoonish character models.

    If the gameplay is like that, then i think it will do well.  

    Borderlands is cartoonish too, and that is a great game.

    I doubt the game is actually gonna play like that. But if it did, this game would almost definitely be worth buying.

    Looks pretty good. Its like a mix between Mirror's edge and unreal tournament III. Its graphically phenomenal!

    CG trailers are a big waste of time. It's no indication of anything other than what a cutscene in the game may look like. It wasn't very impressive anyway, it just looked like a poor man's TF2.

    Graphically its Crackdown meets Team Fortress 2 so it ticks the box for me there. From the in game tech demo of the SMART feature that I've seen it will certainly add something that other shooters are missing.

    Would be good if it had a third-person option as that was sorely missing from Mirror's Edge, which this replicates in a small way.

    Yeah, again CG trailers tell you absolutely nothing about what a game is going to be. In-game screen-shots are more informative than this.

    I don't know, I don't like the cartoonish look. We'll see if this game can pry us from MW2 and BC2.

    Looks cool, but not really sure if it will do well. Looks like one of those games you have to be really into it to play.

    Borderlands and Team Fortress have cartoonish characters but they did extremely well. Besides this game has the graphics of Mirror's Edge, the other games that i mention doesn't have that.
