Swing A Sword Or Paddle In Sports Champions

We've played a ton of motion-controlled sports games in our day, but few have looked as good as Sports Champions. The Sony Move-controlled collection of games is thus far confirmed to feature table tennis, archery, and... gladiator combat? Don't take our word for it though, look at the official screens for yourself below.

Sony boasts that the Move offers a one-to-one interaction with the game, something not yet accomplished by other games of its ilk. Does it accomplish this lofty goal? Check out our hands-on impressions from the gladiator game.

  • Well better than cupcake land!

  • :|O

  • I'm just glad the frickin' controller finally has a name.  I won't buy it any time soon, but it's good to know what to call it.

  • Wii Sports Ultra

  • no thanks! I'm disappointed in Sony for going the shovelware way! What happened to the motion controller for hard core gamers idea?

  • I'm game

  • The gladiator mode looks like it could have been the most fun in this title, it's just too bad it doesn't live up to its potential.

  • Nice screen shots, I hope the motion controller is better than the Wii gimic !

  • the graphics are better than the wii.

  • im probably going to buy this as long as a game (even if it is something like wii sports) is bundled in. ive always loved the wii motion controlsw but it wasnt 1 to 1 and the games for it were gimmicky.

  • Assuming I have the money when this product comes out, I'd buy it. I know that, with the PS3's technical superiority, you're bound to focus more on the landmarks than the shovelware after just a short time.

Hey, I'd rather buy the Move peripherals for the demos they showed at E3 than buying a Wii for anything it's 'accomplished' so far.

  • Proof of concept mini games. Show of hands who thinks that there will be a bit of a drought in games that will use the Move for awhile.
