Might & Magic Comes To XBLA And PSN

The well-received DS game, Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, is heading to downloadable platforms, complete with updated graphics and some new features. Ubisoft announced today that it will be bringing the strong puzzle/strategy hybrid over from its original portable appearance on the DS, and upgrading the title for a release on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. The entire game will now be presented in HD, with a dramatically more detailed graphical presentation. In addition, Ubisoft and developer Capybara have altered elements of the gameplay to respond to critiques of the original.

"Not only have we had the chance to adapt all of our graphics to High-Definition, but we¹ve also had the opportunity to improve the game even further, both in single-player battles and in the main campaign," says senior producer Romain de Waubert de Genlis. "We took many of the community's recurring wishes into consideration, allowing players to match their strategic skills and taking full advantage of the online capabilities of Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network." The new downloadable version will include online or offline multiplayer battles for between 2-4 players.

The unique battle system of Clash of Heroes focuses on offensive and defensive combos in a unique puzzle-driven battle mechanic - a departure for the Might & Magic franchise. The game includes five main factions, each with their own central hero. Each hero has his own story that unfolds through play.

Might & Magic Clash of Heroes will be available for download sometime this summer. Think you'll give it a try?
