Get A Deal On Resident Evil 5 Gold Content

Only one day after all of the hardcore Resident Evil fans have already either downloaded the new levels and costumes or purchased Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, Capcom has announced the Untold Stories Bundle, which is the cheapest way to access the new content.

The bundle includes the two new levels (Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape) and the two costume packs -- basically everything you'd get in Gold Edition except Versus Mode. This would normally cost a total of $14.

For 960 Microsoft Points ($12) you can buy the bundle today on Xbox Live or buy it tomorrow, March 11, for $12.50 on PlayStation Network. If you've been meaning to get these updates anyway, this is an excellent package to jump on.

Who's glad they waited, who's fine with paying more to get the content earlier, and who's mad that Capcom didn't announce this before you bought everything?

  • lol well that was convenient of them. ehh no matter, no animosity  here, still grateful for Capcom to give me reason to play some RE 5 again! At least they made it cheaper for those who may have been saving money to purchase the DLC

  • I've only bought "Lost in Nightmares" so far, so this still might be a deal for me to take advantage of. I haven't yet decided...

  • I know I am. My brother and me loved RE4 so when wanted to wait till the released some sort of deal for it. Now all I gotta do is buy the versus mode so we can play together.

  • Torn between buying the old disc at a low price with the new DlC, or the new Gold Edition disc.

  • Yeah, a heads-up would've been nice. Oh well, I'm only after the campaigns, not the costume packs.

  • Wow!!! a whole $2 dollars you save. Not much of a deal if you ask me.

  • That's a Dick move.  If it had come out months later it wouldn't be so bad.  But a week after, that's a little too soon.  Way to cash in on the loyal fans Capcom.

  • I would be super p****d if I had already bought them.  I have bought arcade games before that went into the bargain bin a week later.  At least when they are releasing a retail game at a lower price, you get some warning.

  • What a way to make a few extra bucks, Capcom. I would have been miffed about being cheapened out of a few dollars if I hadn't waited.

  • its only $2. not that big of a deal.

  • Versus mode standalone is 5$, so if you wanted that in the end.. not exactly a savings. Is 2$ really worth commenting on anyway..?

  • well iam glad i waited, cause being first isn't always good, especially in the bedroom,it also applies here,i have been burn to many time in this current gen, that i learned that was one of the trends of this gen...the first wave of hardware or software always blows compared to what they will release to kinda update that,i dunno iam still hardcore, but io rather let the rest of the hardcore community get it first so then i can get it cheaper and better after they've made the company a little richer.

  • *** you Capcom

  • dang-it! lol, why didn't you tell me capcom? i already bought the two new episodes separately! oh well, thats ok. they were both really fun, though i wouldn't have minded using my tricked out weapons i worked so hard to upgrade, and maybe that feature could've been unlocked after the an initial play through?

  • Guess it's a good thing I haven't bought it yet... I'll eventually pick up the Gold Edition

  • ummm...**yaaaaaaay**?

  • WOW....that will annoy some players. I'm holding out for the "Move While Shooting Because That's What Any Normal Human Being Would Do (Realistic) Package" DLC.

Something tells me I'll be waiting a while.

  • @grimmrock

yeah i know right, 2 *** dollars lol, i want them, but i wasnt in a rush to get them. ill be downloadin em soon, not much of a deal tho

  • I just downloaded these last night! At like 10:00pm, individually! Frickin A!

I mean $2 isn't a lot, so I won't hate Capcom or anything over this (especially when RE5 is such a fantastic game), but seriously???? I mean I was like 2 hours too early....

  • I don't mind. I only purchased the stuff that was worth purchasing like the extra levels. Why would you pay for the costumes? They don't do anything in game except maybe give you a laugh or two.
