Final Fantasy XIII Ships 5 Million Units
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIII shipped five million copies, and surprisingly, more than half were shipped outside of Japan (three million).
Keep in mind this is the number shipped, not sold, Square Enix has yet to release first-day sales numbers, but judging by popular midnight launch events across the country, we expect the game has performed well (GI editors were on location at a local midnight launch and report their findings here).
The five million shipped copies of Final Fantasy XIII brings the total number of shipped units of Final Fantasy to a whopping 96 million!
Now excuse me while I daydream about saving Cocoon until I return to my quest this evening courtesy of my copy that I now know is one of five million.
