The lights are on
BioShock and BioShock 2 level designer Jean-Paul LeBreton isn’t one for rest. Even though he just helped ship one of the year’s most anticipated sequels, he wasn’t ready to hit the beach. Instead, he took on a personal project, recreating one of the most stunning areas in Rapture, Arcadia, with the Doom II engine. As you can see, he did an excellent job, and you can actually download the map for play in link on his blog.LeBreton created this old-school version of Arcadia using the SLADE Doom map editor.Wonder how a Big Daddy would fare against a BFG?[Thanks for the news tip, DuckReconMajor!]

Looks almost as good as it did in Bioshock
haha nice and a bfg would slaughter a big daddy.
HAHA. I was looking at the top pic and thinking he did an amazing job with the Doom 2 engine. The picture definately needs a caption.
nice
Someone was OBVIOUSLY bored...I'm not going to name any names, but it rhymes with Schmawn Schmall Schmabreton.
That is wicked cool.
That's looks pretty cool.
Great job! I think, if he can find the time, he should create other Doom levels using different areas from other great games.
wow that's pretty cool.
Thats pretty cool.
One of the best looking Doom areas I have seen in a long time. Kudos for the free map...I wish they'd add it to Doom on XBLA.
Sweet pixelated maps.
Haha, cool idea. You gotta love these talented devs and their pet projects. It'd be sweet to play through the whole of Rapture in Doom 2 with all the Doom 2 weps.
its pretty cool
Mybe do something else might be better
haha thats awesome
wow this is incredible. this guy really knows level design.
Looks like someone has some time on their hands...
at least you can tell he loves what he made. That's really cool though, taking it on as a personal project.
kewl. He gets a thumbs up, but personally that looks like a waist of time.
