The lights are on
Seasoned adventurer Lara Croft is back, but it might not be in the way you'd expect. Not only will her new game not carry the Tomb Raider moniker, but publisher Square Enix is making the title available via digital download only.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is being developed by famed studio Crystal Dynamics for unspecified consoles for release sometime in 2010. By the sound of it, Crystal Dynamics' GM Darrell Gallagher believes this isn't going to be just another Croft adventure. "This is a really exciting project for Crystal Dynamics, we have created something completely new and very different to what people might be expecting," he explained.
This is exciting news and we can't wait to see what the game has in store, but we'd be surprised if this was the only Lara Croft/Tomb Raider product the studio has going.
