The lights are on
One of the games revealed at today's Nintendo’s press summit was Disney Interactive’s whodunit, Disney Guilty Party. Developed by Wideload Games, makers of Stubbs the Zombie and Hail to the Chimp, the game is a Wii exclusive. Guilty Party lets players solve randomly generated mysteries, tracking down clues and interrogating a variety of shifty suspects.
"We're packing an amazing amount of play-time into a single game," said Patrick Curry, game director, Wideload Games. "Guilty Party is a bit like a board game, since families can play each mystery over and over again and never have the same experience twice."
Guilty Party is set for a release sometime in the second half of 2010. We’ll have a hands-on preview of the game later today. In the meantime, it's not too early to start shopping for a deerstalker cap.

Love the headline.
first
Basically Clue?
Who thinks that diver suit in background is a robot. Bioshock 2 just released and every robot looks like big daddy.
You shouldn't post just to say first ever, and definately when you're not first.
Now that's a cool Idead, new not really but something different and something that seems like a lot more than your average Wii game...
Knowing Disney, it'll probably be mysteries on the level of Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, and Encyclopedia Brown(look him up). And that's not a bad thing, though. Enjoyed them as a kid. Just hope it isn't a Clue clone, though.
Seeing it's Disney and a kids game, I doubt it will be Clue-esque mysteries involving murder. It will probably by more like "who pooped the bed."
There is something seriously wrong with grannies hands D;
@IamKingDNell: Fail
Clue is exactly the feel I get from this as well, looks like a good family classic. Hopefully it won't be a Mario Party-esque game i.e. boring as hell
Cause a Guilty Party don't stop! Sorry, had to.
Heh, doubt they'll even go that far. Maybe like, "Fluffy's been cat-napped! Oh, Noez!"
I do realize I'm probably being unfair. They're allowing Epic Mickey after all. And who can foregt Kingdom Hearts and Tron 2.0. :)
Is that...Frozone? (Second from the left.)
lame. dont like the sound of this game
lol. Sounds interesting. Headline should have read "And now for something completely random by Disney"
This sounds like a really interesting idea. My only fear is that the game will only have a limited number of frameworks for mysteries so after you do about 10, you can start to see patterns even if the clues, the characters, and plot are different. Something like an ad-lib.
cool cool
i was hoping for a stubbs the zombie two, but that won't ever happen.
The idea sounds interesting, but it sounds like it doesn't have much of a campaign/story.
too bad this isnt for the ds....we need more mystery games...
They do look a bit like the Incredibles family. Won't be getting this however.
The guy in the hat and coat looks the most stereotypical detective that they could have come up with. All he needs is a cigarette in his hand and he would be perfect.
