Blur Sends Tweet at 150 mph

We hope you all aren't reckless enough to text or Tweet when you're driving around town in real life, but you can Tweet to your heart's content in Bizarre Creation's latest racer, Blur.

The arcade racer (coming out this spring) lets you blast out all your accomplishments and myriad other game details with a touch of a button from virtually anywhere in the game. You can even customize the message that goes out, which could make things extra salty if you're bragging about your leaderboard positions, how many fans you've earned in the game, which cars you've unlocked, etc. The game takes this kind of taunting to a new level with the ability to send challenges to your friends via Twitter. You can throw down the gauntlet to other players, exhorting them to best a particular challenge you've just completed, even if they haven't unlocked it yet.

The feature will be available in the game's multiplayer beta next month, and for more on Blur check out our preview in the upcoming April issue of Game Informer.

Do you think you'll use this feature?

  • are you kidding!? Twitter hah that ridiculous yet cool :P

  • Cool.

  • I think that it is a pretty stupid feature. I play my games, well, to play a game. Not to use twitter through it.

  • Creative idea though I won't care for this due to the fact I DON'T HAVE A TWITTER.

But you can't blame them for trying...

  • pointless yet fascinating

  • Hahahahahahahaha so lame. I don't have a twitter and the only point in having one is for updating it with useless information like this.

  • Well it'd be okay to send brag messages, but a personalized message would require pausing. Especially if you don't have a wireless keyboard for it, would take forever to type something.

  • if it was facebook i would completely blown by this. coo idea tho :\

  • LMAO ok finally! I will use this!

  • This will just encourage idiots to do it in real life...

  • Beta?.....WOOHOO

  • If I can't text while driving in real life,I might as well tweet while driving in my video games. All funniness aside I probably won't use the feature that often.

  • The only point I see in Twitter is to constantly annoy people by updating my life with things like these....WOOT, now I can annoy people even while playing games!

  • Well first of all I don't have a twitter account because I am a bit of a social networking recluse.  I do think that I would use this feature though.  It seems to me like a sort of enhanced matchmaking system.  And whats more fun than finding some 1337 d00d talking sheet and then taking them out?  Finding these guys will be easier now.

  • that so awesome!

  • That looks...really cool.  I'm interested to see if this will be a new trend or if it will flop

  • that's totally pointless. Yes I will use it

  • Wow! That seems completely useless. Stupid kids and their social networking sites. . .

  • meh but the game looks cool

  • wow incredibly innovative. add facebook and im there. add this option to every game now industry.
