The Next Batman Game Isn’t What You Think…Features Aquaman!

by Ben Reeves on Feb 23, 2010 at 08:02 AM

Last year’s Batman: Arkham Asylum did more than just vindicate the Dark Knight’s video game reputation, it might have inadvertently opened the door for other Batman related titles. Queue Warner Bros. Interactive, which just announced a video game based off the Cartoon Network show Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold the Videogame looks to be targeting a kid-friendly market. One to two players will be able to take Batman and his friends, Robin, Green Lantern, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman on an adventure that has them solving puzzles and fighting crime in darkened alleys, alien planets, abandoned underground cities, and mysterious laboratories.

The game will be available for both the Wii and Nintendo DS, and players that purchase both versions will unlock an extra character, Bat-Mite, a pucky imp who is so laughable he makes Adam West’s dancing antics look respectable.

We can’t blame Warner Bros. for wanted to cashing in on Batman while he’s hot; we just hope they give The Brave and the Bold the resources it needs to succeed. Games targeted towards kids sometimes don't get the polish they deserve.
