The lights are on
It isn't news that Gears of War poster boys Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago will be infiltrating Capcom's Lost Planet 2. Or that in a Capcom on Capcom crossover, RE5's Albert Wesker will also join the fray. Still, it's a bit disorienting to see the bizarre trio in action. Check out the full gallery and video below.
Lost Planet 2 hits retail May 18.
hi!!!!!!! i like zelda games
Wow, somehow I missed the Wesker bit. Too bad it isn't Jill or Claire :(
first this is sweet now who will be on the ps3 version? I would like to see maybe one of the solders from killzone2 or resistance?
Capcom is the master of very bizarre crossovers... Anyone else remember the Servbot heads in Dead Rising? Or Dante in Viewtiful Joe? Or the battle network Mega Man in the Onimusha fighter?
What... No Frank West? He's covered wars man...
No comment. This is bizarre. Just because its shocking doesnt necesarily make it a good idea, but lets see how it goes...
@ pedro:
Try Bayonetta. Way too many references and homages to count. :)
I didn't see Wesker...
@ bloodymurder
Don't forget Darksiders and Dante;s Inferno. @ least Bayonetta has an original concept/story
this is a bizzare crossover.not sure if i like it yet
I don't understand why a crossover was needed? This makes me take Lost Planet 2 a lot less serious.
I'm getting dizzy. I need to lie down.
List of superpowers
Albert Wesker:
Heightened senses
Increased strength and agility
Marcus and Dom:
Overwhelmingly buff physique
Can take cover
Ability to swear frequently during combat
Go kick some ass gentleman!
@gamergirl
Totally agree. Bayonetta's homages and references were a labor of Capcom nerd love, given who it came from. I need more of this wonderfully fun and industry loving franchise!
OMG this looks absolutely ridiculous but somehow entirely too much fun to pass up...wonder if the stories will Crossover as well or if there may even be a logical explanation for this trio...zombie locust akrid creatures sounds like fun...
This looks kinda too cheesy for me...but I don't really care about this game unless it scores an 8 or higher.
I wonder if they could have Konami throw in Bill and Lance from Contra
maybe it's just me, but that seems kinda lazy on their end. Did they just not want to make the new characters?
hmmm interesting
@Korey
I think it's less laziness and more a cheap marketing ploy...these characters are popular, and I don't think the first game sold all that well
