Hang Out With New Rocket Knight Character Art
Gamers eagerly awaiting Konami’s return to the Sparkster/ Rocket Knight Adventures series are in luck. It was announced awhile ago that the old school 2D sidescroller is getting an HD update for the downloadable market (PSN, XBLA, Steam), but now we have some awesome character to sink our teeth into.
Konami is promising all the rocket-fueled action from the original Rocket Knight games, plus new surprises. Sparkster will blast through new worlds in an effort to destroy the nasty wolf army. The opossum’s classic tail-hanging move also returns, allowing him to slide down rails and dodge obstacles. Expect the game to hit platforms in 2010.
Here we see the man himself, Sparkster, in all his 90’s-video-game-character-with-a-little-sly-smirk glory.
Next up is his apparent rival, Axel Gear, who has taken Sparkster’s place during his absence. Looks pretty shady if you ask us.
