The lights are on
Sega saw an uptick in its most recent fiscal report, including a strong start for its new hair-clad heroine. According to a recently released financial report, Sega Sammy saw a net income of ¥16.9 billion (around $189.5 million) during the period from April to December of 2009. Included as a small part of that income was Bayonetta, which sold 1.1 million units. It's worth noting that Sega's witch-heavy action game had only been released in Japan during this period, beginning on October 29. Early sales for Bayonetta here in the US remain unreported, as the game released stateside on January 5. The original noting of Sega's financial details comes via a posting at Joystiq.

Hmm still haven't played this game but it seems to be doing good. Guess I'll have to pick it up this weekend before Bioshock 2 and Dantes Inferno come out.
Bayonetta was an amazing, nonsensical journey. Somewhat difficult though.
I love this game! I call it button mashing awesomeness. I have to put it aside for white knight and start ocean
button mashing awesomenesss
I dont know if its just the PS3 version being the crappy version, but when I played it the graphics were so dull. I LOVED the combat though, so I'd still say it's good.
This game looks pretty good so its definitely on my list for an eventual pickup.
This just warms the heart. New quality IP breaking 1 million sales, Hideki Kamiya having a commercially successful game, and hopefully a chance to finally work on a sequel to one of his works. Excellent excellent news.
The Ps3 version IS worse I bought it used and switched it for the 360 one
BEST ACTION GAME EVER. Hnads down my favorite action game.
This game is great. It's got fast-paced action, stylish moves (though ridiculous at the same time, in a good way of course) and a Sexy lead character that bends in whichever way you please (nope, that capitalized "sexy" is not a typo...Bayonetta demands itself to be described this way).
I have to be honest, though. I'm not very good at it, lol. My level-ending results always reward me with stone trophies. I will go back and replay some levels to master her combos.
...okay, I'm gonna play it again just to watch her climax moves. There, I said it.
That's wassup witches :D
Let me see... NOPE!!!
when you said heroine I thought you were talking about the drug
The game was pure epic. if you havent tried it out at least rent the game.
while some of tha story was way out there and tha *** epilogue kept goin on and on, i really enjoyed this game. tha combat was amazing and tha soundtrack fit perfectly, especially one of my new fav songs 'fly me to the moon (climax mix)', that song fit so well wit tha high intensity action sections. i rented it tha morning it came out, as i did when darksiders came out tha week before, and i have to say, i enjoyed bayonetta so much more. if u havnt played it yet, def go out and at least rent, and yeah tha 360 version preferably. im def gonna add it to my collection when it drops in price.
Hi Billy Mays here with another fantastic product! I'm going to get this game for the 360, as soon as i send it to get it fixed, it broked down before christmas...
Its a great game. It deserves every dollar of what it's getting
*crosses fingers
I hope it sells half as well in the states.....god knows the crap ps3 prt job won't be helping very much.....
