NBA 2K10 Sells Over 2M Worldwide

Visual Concepts' NBA 2K franchise remains on top of the b-ball mountain. Today the developer boasts that the latest installment in the series has sold over two million copies around the world.

As if selling a boat-load of your video game wasn't good enough news, NBA 2K10 has done it faster than its predecessor. Both games came out in the month of October when they released, but NBA 2K9 didn't hit the two million mark until the July after it came out, while 2K10 is hitting this lofty mark in February. Perhaps this is a sign that the series is on the ascent and selling to an even larger audience than usual.

How bright is the franchise's future? Time will tell, but for an interview with the minds behind the series as well as a sneak peek at what NBA 2K11 might be like, check out our interview right here.
