Bayonetta On PS3 Gets More Playable

As many gamers (myself included) have pointed out, Bayonetta on PlayStation 3 just isn't as good as the 360 version. Sega and Platinum Games have rectified part of the problem, releasing a patch to address the longer load times.

According to Platinum's site, owners of the PS3 version worldwide can download the patch today, which reduces the time that you'll spend on load screens. Sure, it's nice that the game lets you practice your moves while you wait, but in this case, too much practice was getting pretty boring as PS3 gamers waited for areas to load.

Unfortunately, the patch doesn't close the gap between the other areas of the PS3 versions inferiority, including the framerate and graphical quality. As bad as these things sound, Bayonetta isn't really a bad game on Sony's console...but if you have the choice, you're still better off with the 360 version. For those of you without a 360, does this patch make you any more likely to check out Bayonetta now?

    Though the framerate and graphical quality is decreased, fixing those load times is a nice update for PS3 owners. At least one of the downsides is fixed

    More game developers should take the initiative like these did. It's nice to see some effort every once and awhile :]

    The only reason they took any initiative is because it was hurting sales, simple as that.

    And honestly, I couldn't care less about some random DMC clone no matter how good it gets.

    I have a 360, but my Mom won't let me get the game. One thing called"Partial Nudity"is the problem. But, for you PS3 owners who don't have online, are you mad because you can't download the patch?

    Mods if you dont get the power to fix these crappy first and second postings am going to choke a pig.

    But on topic. the load times were not that bad as i have the game on ps3. The practice screen is what help me learn moves and beat the game on infinite climax mode and thus earning my platinum trophy for the game. As for the graphics....i could care less.....it was a epic game.

    But i think bayonetta was better DMC. Sure DMC had more metal and rock music but bayonetta had some pretty sweet music and remixs.

    haha silly ps3 bayonetta should have been 360 exclusive anyways, i played bayonetta on ps3, it sucked EGGS!!! bayonetta is the BEST...GAME...EVAR!!!

    omfg!!! why do people say its a DMC copy?!?!?! sure some parts of it are like DMC, but almost all games that arent rpg and include guns and melee wepons are, but besides that there is like no resemblance(yes i have played every DMC)

    I never got Bayonetta and probably won't because the game just sounds really weird, I'm not really into this game or Devil May Cry. Although I thought this was a little weird and I was wondering if anyone else did: Bayonetta and Darksiders were released on the same day as a multiplatform. Bayonetta didn't work as well on the PS3 and Darksiders didn't work as well on the 360. I just thought that was really weird, am I the only one thinking that?

    I think the game is still good regardless of the few differences in the 360 version. Will be picking up soon!

    Nice to hear, the load times were very annoying. There were load times just to go into the pause menu or to examine an item for god's sake.

    Bayonetta's still a sick game, though.

    I'm still not sure if I'll even get this game. But if they patch more problems (if they can), then I'll probally pick it up. There are alot more games I want more like NMH2, Blazblue, mirrors edge, DMC4, etc. Plus, I still have like, 3 games to finish.

    i already have the game a beat it in a couple days.....the load screens may have takn a lil while but i still loved playing the game and that never made me regret getting it.....
