The lights are on
The latest trailer from Rockstar San Diego's upcoming open world Western features a PBS style narrator who breaks down all the tools of the trade reformed renegade John Marston employs during his quest for redemption. Nothing's surprising about your arsenal – the game features the standard mix of revolvers, shotguns, and rifles, with a Gatling gun thrown in for good measure. Rather, the star of the trailer is the impressive Natural Motion animation that creates a visceral impact for each lead injection. Check it out:

What do you think? Is this gameplay footage enough to convince to saddle up on April 27?

This is going to be a great game Rockstar was fun with GTA, but the criminal thing always turned me off big time being a man searching for redemption in the Wild West could turn out to be a classic game. This should be fun can't wait for April.
I liked the first game...but that was quite a few years ago...I hope this one will be better.
This seems to be a great game. I'm looking forward to checking it out when it's released.
GTA in the wild west? I'm sold.
I just want to hunt some buffalo. Maybe make some jerky.
Then lasso a person, and take em' to jail.
I might even pre-order this game.
Geez. they really researched for this game
ive already got it preordered and paid off i cant wait. i also need to preorder Just Cause 2 cuz that game looks just as awesome
looks great to me
This is one of my most anticipating games.
I already knew that I was going to pick this up, video just made me drool a little bit though...
This game spits hot fire! Can't wait til this comes out, it's going to be epic.
Games like this are why I finally had to break down and join the console world with a PS3.
PC gaming is still my fave, but I think this and Heavy Rain alone are enough to make my PS3 investment worthwhile, at least to me.
Originally I wasn't to pumped for the whole western theme, however, each trailer I see makes this game more and more appealing. I'll probably end up picking it up on its release date.
The turn off of Revolver was it was short, but also it was a Capcom game. Rockstar took over a near done game so it was not open world etc. This is vintage Rockstar and it is vintage awesome.
Wow, this looks awesome! Is it just me or does the dead eye aim system have a similarity to VATS in fallout 3, as in you can target the location of your shots.
SOLD!!! The first one was pretty good, but not great by any means. This looks to be given the proper treatment and should be another great game for 2010.
Wow... I had minimal interest in this title for whatever reason - that is prior to seeing this video. There is just so much quality evident... the liquid smooth animations, the smoothed over but still properly throttled aiming, all the explosion effects and shadows... wow. Totally going to reserve now.
I didn't realize just how much like GTA this was gonna be... I hope the controls are a little less clunky than they were in GTA since this will be a lot less focused on the driving and more on the gun play. Looks Great though!
I'm still a little on the fence about buying it. I guess the last thing I want to see is maybe a video or article on the environment of Red Dead Redemption. That'll probably get me to preorder it.
