The lights are on
Just last week Microsoft’s Aaron Greenburg said that Microsoft Points were “never intended to mislead people.” Apparently one Xbox Live user doesn’t agree, and has filed a lawsuit with the company.Samuel Lassoff, a resident of Horsham, PA, claims that he received a bill from Microsoft for games that he attempted to download over XBLA. InformationWeek reports that due to a “balky download system,” Lassoff’s MS Points were taken but his game was never received.Lassoff’s lawsuit claims that Microsoft "engaged in a scheme to unjustly enrich itself through their fraudulent handling." He also points to “hundreds” of other Xbox users that have been wronged by Microsoft’s alleged breach of contract by paying for games they did not receive. The complainant has a history of lawsuit-filing. Before Microsoft, Lassoff sued Google and an Atlantic City casino. Anybody else ever have issues like this with MS Points?

nope i have never had that happen
I'm not 360 user, but this seems to me like something that should be fixable through a call to tech support. I doubt he'll get much out of this beyond his points back.
You pay a lot of money for a small amount of points.
I had an issue similar to this when I attempted to download Fallout 3's Broken Steel DLC. I purchased the DLC, MS took my points, but I got an error that stopped the download. The DLC was also not put into my download queue, so I couldn't attempt to redownload.
Only after 5-6 hours on the phone with 1-800-4MYXBOX, did I get a resolution. I was required to plunk down MORE cash for MS Points and re-purchase the DLC. Only then did I get a refund...in the form of MS Points.
Customer Service FAIL.
I have not had problems with microsoft points but I have had problems with download codes. If I put that code in and then the download is interupted for whatever reason I lose that download forever
Lawsuits make me a sad panda.
Me and My Bro bought a Xbox Original:Fable, and never got it.
We called Customer service like 12 times and they kept saying BS
what should be the case is if i purchase a game with my money that turns into ms points, now this game that i bought and is on my harddrive should be able to play on any of my friends system, with my profile and all,it doesn't,even on my own system it doesn't let other profiles play games that i bought only the trial game, thats pretty crummy.
People are stupid as F.U.CK!
i havent had an issue so far
YAY! F*** THE SYSTEM!
No issues with MS points, but there have been issues where i cant re-download certain items or the expiration of content that i downloaded
What a jackass, if you don't understand the system, DON'T USE IT! Why must you try and sue and get rich off of companies that bring us some of the best entertainment around? Get a freakin' job and earn your way in life LOSER! People like you mess it up for the rest of us, that's why we have to read through so many disclaimers because of dishonest, unhappy people like Lassoff, he should be called Jackoff
Any time anyone even mentions Microsoft Points it's bodies and venom and bullets flying everywhere. It's really simple: They make the system, they make the rules. You can choose to continue giving them money and complain that they're willing to take it from you or you can NOT give them your money and give it to someone else. After all, this IS America: Land of the free, home of the Whopper. You're allowed to make that choice.
I always love these stories of ridiculous suits. Have fun wasting your time dude.
Just get a PS3 xbox users.. we have better exclusive games, free online, $5 on PS Store is written up as $5, not 400 points. A simple and convinient system for the common user. I am not tryin to hate on the Xbox, I have played it myself with my roommate back at college, was not that impressed with how slow his online worked for a paying user for internet. Check out the line ups for the games as well. PS3 is gonna be way out in front in the up coming year. Plus we have Blu-Ray = ]
Probably some 30 year old *** bag.
Good. Microsoft Points are completely illogical.
Never, what a choade I can say that right?
I did download GTA 4 online (not because of my parents, mind you, I just don't have a car) and had the points deducted, but the download only stayed at 2%. i found out i didn't have a fast enough connection speed for the download. Shows how much that 75$ for an adapter is being put to use, huh? anyways i went to a friends house with my hard drive and transferred my account, which worked and got me the game. I'm guessing some people wont be lucky as i was. Its still bullcrap that ps3 and wii can connect to wifi without an adapter just fine.
