And you thought Frank West dressed as Mega Man popping up in Lost Planet: Colonies was cool. Capcom today announced that the Xbox 360 version of Lost Planet 2 will have a nice little extra in the form of two bonus costumes. Gears of War heroes Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago will join the fight against the Akrid menace when the game is released May 18. It’s certainly a bizarre team-up, but it’s not unprecedented. Metal Gear Solid 4 had an east-meets-west surprise with its unlockable Altair costume, featuring the duds from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed.

I dunno whether it's a good thing that epic is willing to lend their characters because they back the game, or bad because capcom is dishing out the cash to try to get the extra sales by banding itself with an established ip.
