The lights are on
Video game movies have a tradition of sucking. But, as we all know, He-Who-Shall-Never-Be-Named-On-This-Site (the director who brought us House of the Dead, Postal, and Dungeon Siege) is responsible for most of the silver screen flops over the last decade. Thankfully, he's not attached to the movie adaptation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. From the trailer, it looks to be drawing inspiration from the Pirates of the Caribbean films -- a good thing. Of course, it could turn into another flop like Tomb Raider (I was sold on those movies from the initial trailers too). At the very least, this summer blockbuster is getting the royal treatment with the rare privilege of being transformed into a LEGO series.
A handful of sets are planned to hit toy store shelves just in time for the film's May 28 release date. Head over to brickset to see the first images, or just sit here and stare at brick Jake.

I've always been partial to non-licensed Legos myself. However, that minifig is pretty boss.
legos ruin everything
*** YOU LEGOS! WILL YOU NOT KEEP YOUR AWESOME HANDS AWAY FROM MOST ANYTHING? Huge lego person when I was younger, so when I walk through the store and see mega blocks with 50 gajillion different licensed brand stuff (even saw transformers sets!) cant help but wish lego had them. Mom hated mega blocks with a passion, dunno why, but for some reason I don't like them now.. And this is officially when I realize I'm ranting. Anyone remember that one floating fireboat set from like 10 years ago. That thing was cool, huh? Oh and the original space lego sets with those magnets and blue wheels and OH *** I'M RANTING AGIAN..

Lego games always suck. Star Wars and Indiana Jones for example.

I just constructed a motorized LEGO Star Wars AT-AT during the holidays.
If you don't think LEGOs are still awesome, I suggest you take a look at how high quality (yet expensive) their current sets are.
But I really would like to see LEGO Lord of the Rings.

Or, if this is not regarding a videogame, then that's great! Would that make this the first videogame turned actual LEGO set? I'm not up on the LEGO trivia.
