Trailer And Screens Unveil Capcom's Lost 8-Bit Dark Void

by Tim Turi on Dec 22, 2009 at 06:20 AM

Fact or farce? Capcom has issued a statement claiming that back in the late 80s they were working on cutting-edge 8-bit cartridge technology for the NES and that their game, Dark Void, was positioned to rock your BluBlockers off. Apparently the ushering of the Super Nintendo sealed the game's fate and it was doomed to obscurity. Now it's being revived from Capcom's vault! We've got the skinny with retro screens and a trailer of Capcom's lost, 2D treasure. This DSiWare game looks like it may be a reason to upgrade to Nintendo's latest handheld.

Capcom is on a roll with the retro-ization of current franchises. Late last week week we basked in the poetic glory and majesty of Mega Man 10, and now we get to feast our eyes on an awesome archaic iteration of Airtight Games' rocket-fueled adventure. Listen to that music! Amazing!

When details regarding the games pricing and release surface, we'll be sure to let you know.
