The lights are on
Natal is receiving some criticism from an unlikely source in Jon Burton, director at Traveller's Tales. He claims Microsoft's new controller is “exceedingly clever, but the lag on the input and lack of
physical buttons is really going to restrict the kind of games that can
be done with it.” It seems odd that he's concerned with its ability to impact multiple genres, considering that 10 of his company's last 13 games have been in what could effectively be called the "Lego genre."
Despite his concerns about Natal, he seems sold on Sony's alternative. “Sony’s solution will be cheap, accurate and will put buttons at your
fingertips, meaning everything from action adventures to FPS can be
handled with the same input," Burton said.

You have to keep in mind that these are two giants competing for first ever concept of motion contol. It's tough, and its a bit like an arms race. Whoever finishes first get credited with first ever motion controlling system. That's a massive award. So of course, they're rushing.
I have NO interest whatsoever in this technology. I will not be buying this unless it has some appeal for my kids. But then again, that's why they have a Wii, and I have my 360 and PS3.
Personally I'll just be sticking with my old fashioned controlled and turning off any Natal/Sony mic thingy options...its too annoying to flail your arms around to do everything(Twilight princess sword slashes anyone?)
I gave this 5 stars. So many freaking immature Microsoft fanboys! That's coming from a Freshman in high school! At least you're not as bad as the Call of Duty fanboys.
Anyways, both controllers look fine I guess. They're just trying to get what Nintendo has. This better not be the future of gaming though...
@un1corn: That is the most idiotic thing I have ever read. Motion control has been around since the 20th century. Wow
fighting games will definately be fun after natal comes out without a controller
What is he talking about? his games only impact little kids.
I like this guy. There will be plenty more devs agreeing with him in the near future I think. Laggy gimmick.
i don't get the big fricken deal about the sony motion controller. it's not any thing special, it's just a rip-off of the wiimote for gods sake!!! but with any hope, it will at least work better!
1.I think Burton got paid by Sony to criticize the 360, but be happy with PS3.
2. I DON'T WANT MOTION CONTROLS ON EITHER SYSTEM!!!!
Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks Natal is a terrible mistake.
MS is in trouble right now.
I hate lagging.
we will have to see about your story.... I;m not sold on Natal yet and SONY is not better with their cheap looking what-ever-u-call-it thing
Motion Controls = Gimmick.
I can not be the only one that is slow to fall in love with motion controls. I do not consider myself a major hardcore gamer, but I just am not excited about any of the motion controls. Unless you can tell me that I will be able to fully control and interact with games like Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age, then count me out.
Lag is a huge cincern, i dont wanna make a movment and wait to see it on the screen, by then i have relaxed and my charcter will relax and i will die...i cant predict the future!!!!!
The Hype is up for Sony's Motion Controls (possibly called "Gem") because Nintendo is not quick enough with the Wii HD.
i just cant see myself giving a head shot with a click of the thumb and an extended index finger pointed at the screen while rolling on my carpet
