GDC Keynotes To Be Delivered By Facebook Platform Manager, iPhone Developer

Gareth Davis, platform manager for Facebook, will be delivering the keynote speech at the Social & Online Games Summit at Game Developers Conference 2010. Davis' topics will include "who plays games, how games are discovered, distributed, designed and operated, and how games monetize and leverage device capabilities." Over at the Independent Games Summit portion of the conference, Tiger Style co-owner and game designer Randy Smith, whose game Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor was recently rated #1 in the iPhone games category by Apple, will give a talk about how to draw players in and retain their in the face of the ever-shifting digital entertainment market.

All the rage these days is in social gaming, from EA's purchase of Playfish to investment firms throwing millions of dollars at Facebook app developers.
