First Teaser Trailer For Transformers: War For Cybertron Released

Transformers fans should definitely keep a keen eye on War For Cybertron, as it's a new title that isn't based on either of the recent Bay-tastic blockbusters. Take a look at the brief trailer below, it doesn't show any gameplay but it has a rather sweet shot of Optimus Prime batting a missile out of the air. No official release date has been announced, but keep an eye on our Transformers: War For Cybertron hub in the coming month for plenty of exclusive info.

Most of the transformer's games that have been tied to one of the movies has been terrible. Hopefully this one, with freedom of creativity, can really bring us a good transformers game that people have been waiting for.

Beautiful! I think this one might actually be done right. If my eyes don't decieve me I do believe we saw Omega Supreme's massive frame gearing up for a shot as well. Oh so lovely.

rather bad quality video (considering the other videos you guys put here are pretty good).

but with that stuff aside, this game looks promising but i'm not holding my breath until i see some gameplay footage!

@Christian: The video's straight from Activision, so the quality is their thing. That said, I think it's supposed to be going for that captured-on-video feel on purpose.

@Phil/Christian: Yeah, the choppy quality does give it that "we recovered most of this video, but not all of it" feel.

Quality aside, i would probably expect to see this thing in a later advertisement or the intro movie. Oh, yeah. MUCH WANT.

Hmm. The site the video mentioned just has a countdown clock to "the next transmission" in some kind of code. Anyone able to crack it? any GI staff know about this?

This game is going to be badass. They have nothing to hold them back, and they don't have to follow a movie. It should be good. Unlimited creativity.

this could be awesome. The game they made 5 or 6 years ago for the PS2 was okay(can't remember what it was called), which means it's way better than the ones based off of the movies. Hopefully this will be worth playing.
