Modern Warfare 2’s Javelin Exploit K.I.A.
A title update released today has eliminated the so-called Javelin glitch in Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. After some creative weapon swapping, people who used the exploit essentially became walking bombs, set to detonate at the moment of their deaths. Unlike the grenade explosions that accompany the Martyrdom perk, the subsequent blasts packed the ridiculously powerful blasts of a Javelin missile. In addition to fixing that problem, the title update addresses a few other exploits such as infinite care packages and the ability for players to stash themselves away within a level’s geometry.
It was fun while it lasted. But was it, really?
