Dead Rising 2 development team, Blue Castle Games, is looking to start up their next big game. The title will be an open world “action project,” according to a job listing on Gamasutra. If you like wrist blades, big guns, and witty royalty then you may be interested in seeing what game-specific expertise the new position calls for.According to the lead level designer listing, Blue Castle Games is looking for someone who has "their finger on the pulse of open world and FPS games like Prince of Persia, Assassins Creed, Halo, and everything in between.” Experience with open world games seems to be an overarching desire in the ad.An interesting list of games to be spoken in the same breath, wouldn’t you say? It seems as if those of you who are tiring of dismembering the undead have something unique to expect in the future from Blue Castle.[Via VG247]

I'm ready for Dead Rising 2, but this sounds like it will definitely be a sweet new open world game. I'm no Halo fanboy, but mentioning that title will attract some attention!

Definitly sounds different than the usual Dead Rising. They did have an interesting selection of games to compare against. Sounds like it could be a very interesting project.
will get! but if there is ANOTHER mandatory time limit i will skip this in a heart beat. the time limit kills the experience for me since i'm a gamer that likes to take his time. i never played the first one for this very reason.

Open world zombie game sounds cool, but if they made another expansion content for Gta they could do it way faster.. Who wouldn't want to give that a shot? "Hey, want some coffeOMGYOURAZOMBIEHOOKER!"

the concept of this game makes me laugh but its a fun game regardless....

Excited to see the outcome of this game. Dead Rising 1 was alright, thought some changes could be made to make it better. Hopefully this one will be better and a lot more fun. Love the zombie killing idea.
DEAD RISING: U.S.A.!!!!!
Travel all over the finest country in the world in this open-world game. Slay the undead in such locations as New York and Los Angelos, and everything in between. Hundreds of bajillions of weapons, and thousands of bajillions of zombies!

Well Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed definitely go hand in hand as Ubisoft Montreal creations, but throwing halo into the mix is altogether strange. combining ideas of games like this could be tough, but hopefully it works.
I'm with Jonathan on this one. though i have not played dead rising 1 I think a time limit would be stupid on an open world zombie slayer. I don't know about anyone else, but when I have a zombie game, I like to chill out and hack down the horde.
