New Dead to Rights: Retribution Video Contains Bloody Doggy

There's no question that the puppy of Dead to Rights' protagonist Jack steals the show consistently. There's nothing like seeing an adorable-yet-vicious beast carve into an enemy's chest like it's digging up a bone (well, I guess it sort of is digging up bones). Check out the new screenshots and gameplay video below.

Sure, most of the dog moments showcase Shadow's running animation, but those visceral take-downs are enough to keep me interested. Anybody else seeing something they like in the new media?

  • I'll try this game out for that doggy. That is all. :)

  • i don't know about this one...

  • That's gotta be painful, having your crotch chewed up by a dog.

  • Mod

    Pretty brutal

  • Maybe Magazines will start adding in an extra column to start rating how much they like the dog....

  • Yeah, that's what my dog's like too.  'Cause I'm awesome like that X-D

  • It is going to fail big time!

  • it does not look to bad . then again it does not look to good either LOL. looks like a better version of eat lead HAHA

  • Playing as the dog does sound like fun.

  • not to say that this game looks just like a Uncharted 2/GeOW wannabe but, uh, wait, nevermind.... at least the doggie could be worth it. It would probably be best if you were the dog the whole time...

  • I would think the makers of Rogue Warrior should be inspired by this video and make something similar instead of the piece of crap they put out.  Looks good, especially that shotgun explosion at the end, but we'll see.

  • The doggy owned him at 00:08

  • That dog/wolf/bear looked tight as hell. However, the end to that clip was RIDICULOUS. He knocks the guy down brutally, steps on his back, and leaps off him while casually shooting an explosive at the beaten enemy. Overkill much? Def getting this one.

  • I've been hoping for a new Dead to Rights game for years.  The original Dead to Rights is still one of my favorite games ever.  I'm nervous about the series' adaptation to the next-gen systems though.  The gameplay was awesome and the disarms were like none other in games from its time.  Never understood why some enemies have guns and some just prefer to fist fight though as fighting has been just as big as shooting in the previous games.

  • I like the depth of field shots... they bring focus to the action and give the game some visual dimension.

  • Will have to see more to make an opinion on the game.... still not enough details

  • Wow... talk about a cheap way to feed your pet.

  • HELL YEAH!!! I love Dead to Rights, and this preview makes very excited for this installment.

  • I don't know... I really want this game to be good, but I'm far too nervous. I think DTR's time has passed. I remember how awesome the GI cover story was, but they cut out EVRYTHING that made it look so cool. And it was not good....

  • Wow! I liked the 1st Dead To Rights and this looks awesome! Jack is an asshole for killing people to that extent so he's 1 of my fav. heroes. Disarms ftw.
