The lights are on
The winter is really starting to kick in here in the Midwest and we already have some snow hitting the ground, which means weekends will now be spent hiding indoors playing games (there's nothing wrong with that). Read on to find out what the GI staff is up to this weekend, then head on over to the comments section and let us know what's on your play list.
Meagan: Playing more Indy games this weekend so I'll be popping between my PC, Mac, 360 and Wii over the next couple of days. I've already found several gems in my allotment of IGF games and can't wait to plow through the rest of them. I feel like tying up some loose ends this weekend as well, so perhaps I'll go and finally polish off Prince of Persia. All and all, I'm excited for a nice, mellow weekend.
Jeff Akervik: I'll be trying to bridge the level gap between me and my brother in Borderlands. Every time we play together he ends up just plowing through everything, and I just stand there looking like an idiot. I figure if I can get to within five levels of him then things should be a little more even. I might try my hand at The Island of Dr. Ned DLC as well. Go Gophers!Sean: I'm going to finally get to play God of War II now that I re-destroyed the first one, and I have a copy of The Saboteur in my hand just begging to be played (I will oblige). My grandmother-in-law (is that a relation?) is coming into town before she flies south for the winter, so we'll have some company, and I'll try to get as much time in with the family as possible since I've been mostly MIA this week. Probably some code and tinkering to do for the site, too, so I may be bringing work home to accomplish that.Phil: My weekend will be spent ignoring the copy of Tony Hawk Ride that Reiner forced on to me so that I can keep blazing a trail through Italy in Assassin's Creed II. When I'm not feeding my addiction for more feathers and glyphs, I'll probably play a bit more New Super Mario Bros. Wii and, as always, some weekend World of Warcraft. Dan: I plan on watching There Will Be Blood again tonight, but the rest of the weekend will mostly be devoted to gaming. Finished up God of War last night, so I'll be starting its even better sequel soon. Outside of that, there'll probably be a healthy amount of Modern Warfare 2, and I'm still waiting for my Left 4 Dead 2 delivery from Amazon. Tim: After a long discussion about the merits of House of the Dead: Overkill and almost having it spoiled for me, I've decided to try it out. I'm also playing Silent Hill 3 and Super Mario Galaxy with Luigi. Awesome!
Annette: I intend on a weekend of gaming for sure. I've been a little sick the past few days so staying out of the cold is my main priority. I'm keeping warm with Modern Warfare 2 and Ballad of Gay Tony. I may also try Flower as well.
That's it for us. Sound off in the comments section.
Intersting, very interesting. I myself have no plans whatsoever and will just goof off.
I shall work, per usual and play around with a DLC from a few different games that I have yet to taste.
@Sean: Watch out! You don't wanna end up like the #4 Tennis player in the world.

I realized I never finished Shadow Complex, so along with that I'll keep playing Final Fantasy X and maybe some Batman, otherwise not too much this weekend.
i'll just be playing the Bayonetta demo on the PS3 all weekend. the funny thing is i got Bayonetta reserved for the 360.
I desperately need to finish Fallout 3.
@ Annette Flower is very relaxing BTW.
I have found a Tekken buddy on PSN, we will likely play a few hours. Also, Collision236 and I are going to duke it out on Soul Caliber 4. I just started Devil May Cry 4...finally...so I will be putting some more time into that. - KK
I will likely play the usual match or two with my father on Tiger Woods 2010. I am also working on building the dollars in Tekken 6 in campaign. I will probably play some games on the PSN too during breaks. -Matt
im going to spend some quality time with kingdom hearts again, probably finish mario and luigi bowsers inside story since its been awhile since i picked it up. Its a pet peeve of mine to not finish a game. after kingdom hearts ill start on the KH for ds since i just bought that. So many games so little time!
Well, having knocked Phantom Hourglass off of my Pile o' Shame (First Zelda game I ever finished), I will be playing whichever one of my other Pile o' Shame games catches my attention. Most likely Super Mario Sunshine.
Well, I just 100% completed NSMB on the DS. I don't know what other plans I have yet, just where ever the wind blows.
I'll probably end up playing more MW2, maybe try to play Borderlands again which I haven't touched since MW2 released. Also thinking about playing through the first Assassins Creed again, gearing up for the second one. :)
Since my PS3 is busted, I'm having a friend come over tomorrow with his. Planning on getting in tons of Rock Band 2 and some Modern Warfare 2 split-screen.
i never plan for the weekend. just do my homework and hope for the best.
still interesting to see what the staff is doing
Dang this all sounds like fun, I'll keep it mind while I stare at an organic chemistry book till my eyes bleed. O winter break is soooo close.
I plan to hopefully platinum Ratchet and Clank :)
just recently picked up tales of vesperia, so if i can manage to hold back from modern warfare 2, left 4 dead 2, call of duty classic, borderland's DLC, and Dragon age origins. i might play some. in other words i dont think ill get around to tales of vesperia quite yet.
Soooo many great games now. Quite a few await my attention (Borderlands, Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin's Creed 2, L4D2, and on and on), yet I can't bring myself to remove Modern Warfare 2 from my xbox360 tray. Looks like more MW2 multiplayer for me. In the grand scheme of things though, that's not a very serious complaint. :)
actually it just feels like a resident evil 4 weekend for me!
I'll continue switching between Battlefield Bad Company (on the last mission) and NFS ProStreet (34% done). If I happen to finish BBC before the weekend is over I'll probably start Prince of Persia.
My only current game I'm really playing is Dragon Age: Origins this weekend if I get some time between shifts at work. It's a pretty good game...it's been awhile since I explored Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights so it's fun to get back to that style of game.
