The lights are on
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is still set for a December 7th release, but Link’s train romping single-player isn’t the only reason to look forward to his newest handheld adventure. Fans of the GameCube release, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, should be sure to check out Spirit Track’s multiplayer mode.
Similar to Four Swords, Spirit Tracks will let up to four players move around within a dungeon and solve puzzles as they hide from Phantoms. This time around, however, Nintendo has tuned the game to be a little more competitive, and players will be racing each other through the mazes as they collect Power Gems.
Unfortunately this mode will be local-only, but we imagine more than a few people will get a kick out of stealing gems from their friends just before the clock ticks down to zero. Check out the newest batch of screens below.

Sounds nice, but, again, no online is a shame. :P
I'm down. My DS needs some love.
So how is their 4 links?
That's a very good point Andre.
looks like fun, shame though that it's local only, guess we can't win them all
Anyone know where i can get a DS cheap? I want this game bad.
No online just means tsk tsk
i really wish they would throw the online in it really knida irritates me that they dont.
@Andre
Think about like this, how would the multiplayer work without 4 Links?
Local only, good no friend codes to deal with. but the last one had online.
Sounds sweet.
Getting the DS back soon so this one will be on my to buy list.
Who cares. Zelda multiplayer has never been that fun.
The last one was a fun distraction, so I imagine this will be too.
It's a good thing to see them adding more stuff to their games, but you have to wonder why they won't put as much effort into the Wii as they are putting into the DS. I mean both systems are weak when compared on the power and graphics scale... but Nintendo constantly pushes out good titles for the DS, but not so much for the Wii. Just makes you wonder what they are planning?
I can't wait. Zelda is a stellar series.
sounds good, online would have been nice. I like the new competitive approach to the multi player.
This should be fun.To bad its not fully online.
wait. PH was online. why isnt THIS game online? first NSMBW, and now THIS!!!!! when online play can only add to the experience, Nintendo doesnt add it in? im not that big on online, but wouldnt this only make it better? in a game like this or NSMBW, id like the option.
im ready for this game big time
