The lights are on
At a price point of 20,000 yen ($225/£135), the supersized DSi LL sold more than 100,000 in its first two days. DSi LL launched in Japan on Saturday and though it sold 103,524 units in two days, it is still less than the 170,000 sold by the original DSi when it released in Japan last year. Sony’s PSPgo only sold about 28,000 units on the day of its Japanese release.
The DSi LL will be named DSi XL in the U.S. and UK, and will release first quarter 2010. Though no price has been set for the DSi XL in these territories, it is expected to be higher than the original DSi. Will you pick one up?
