An Inside Look At Valve's Office

by Tim Turi on Nov 19, 2009 at 10:20 AM

Valve is known for making polished and incredible games. In case you missed one of the billboards or commercials scattered about, Left 4 Dead 2 is one of those great games. I got to step foot in Valves office-of-awesome, and was immediately greeted by any fan’s dream come true.

You can't miss Valve's signature...valve. It's there right as soon as you walk in. I almost tripped over it.

Directly behind it you can see the the developer's plethora of awards. Also, Bellevue, Washington.

Sometimes I just sit and stare at this picture, picking out all the awesome stuff I wish was on my nightstand. I'd love to wake up in the morning and see any of this stuff right next to my alarm clock. Well, except maybe for the thing in the upper right... eesh.

A trophy awarded to Valve for "Raising the Bar on Action Games." It's never a bad idea to engrave a pun in gold.

Spot the object that doesn't belong!

These bad boys are on either side of the doorway. I tried to pry one off, but they're really stuck on there. I could have really used a...ack, the irony.

Who doesn't have a Team Fortress 2 skateboard, wrestling championship belt, and head crab in their room? Pfft...

A giant L4D wine bottle and a Heavy from Team Fortress 2. Can you say... Heavy drinker? No. No you can't. That's a bad joke.

I'm not sure what this thing is. Anybody help me out on this one?

I was having a hard time figuring out what game this is from. Did Valve develop Endless Ocean?

That's only what I found in the lobby. It's hard to believe a fortress of such unadulterated badassery is tucked away in such an unassuming office building. One can only wonder what's lurking behind the many doors of Valve's office...
