Firefox Browser Coming To PS3?
PlayStation 3 owners have been able to hold their console’s built-in Web browser over Xbox 360 users for a while now. Facebook and Twitter support? Yawn. The truth is, however, while the PS3 does feature a way to cruise around online, the browser isn’t exactly good. It gets the job done, but it’s not about to replace any other Web-browsing devices.
According to PlayStation Insider, however, that might change. Citing a source “very close to Sony,” the site reports that there’s a possibility that the popular browser Firefox could be hitting the console if discussions that the source claims that are ongoing between Sony and Mozilla bear fruit.
There’s no official word from either party at this point, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything. In the meantime, PS3 users can at least console themselves by watching YouTube videos on their systems.
