Earlier this week, 2K Games had revealed the official box art for BioShock 2. Today the company has released information on BioShock 2 Special Edition, giving us a first look at some of the package’s goodies.
BioShock 2 Special Edition will be cased in 13"x13" premium packaging with special art on both the slipcase and the box cover. Contents include:
Excited yet? The special edition will be available the day of the game’s release, February 9th, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC at a retail price of $99.99 ($89.99 for PC). Preorders for the Special Edition will be available in most countries worldwide...starting now.

Although art books are cool the ones that have come from games are really not that great. In order to get a GOOD art book you need to have something a much more substatial size, like a coffee table book or something.

It's very awesome, but something that's going to be $100 needs a little more content than just a couple of soundtracks.

i've come to my senses and realized this is a waste of money. $100? thats crazy and nothing here is worth it. i'll stick to my $20 cheaper Master Assassin's Edition which contained better contents. however, if i have had the money, i would have bought it anyways since i love collecting collector's editions of video games.
I think the addition of the vinyl LP is classy on 2K's part. It just aligns with the atmosphere of the game, which by the way, I am so stoked for.
Ohhh, vinyl. Don't see that too often. I'm going to get out my turntable.
$89.99 for PC. Im glad they didn't follow the Modern Warfare 2 trend of $60 PC games.
I will have to sell my left testicle just to afford this... but it's a body part well sold.
well poo. its an okay set and id love to have it, but theres no way its worth $100. what a shame.

I'll be picking this one up for sure! The contents are very appropriate if nothing else, I really wish they had put the new score on vinyl though, to be honest I can't imagine why they didn't considering they already went to the trouble of pressing one.
