New Trailer For Dante’s Inferno Animated Movie

by Matt Helgeson on Nov 12, 2009 at 12:49 PM

We’ve been curious about how EA and Film Roman’s Dante’s Inferno animated feature was coming along, and now this new trailer gives us a window into Dante’s bloody world. The trailer shows our hero as he descends into hell to find his true love, Beatrice. The film is being produced by Victor Cook (The Spectacular Spider-Man), and will feature the work of six different directors, including Yasuomi Umetsu (Kite, Mezzo Forte), Shukou Murase (Ergo Proxy). Brandon Auman (Iron Man: Armored Adventures) is handling writing duties, and Tsukasa Kotobuki (Akihabara Cyber Team, Saber Marionette J) is providing character designs. Anime fans will also be pleased to note that the company Production I.G., known for its work on films like Ghost in the Shell and the animated sequences in Kill Bill, is also involved in the project.

The film will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in February 2010, the same month as the game, though we do not know if it will hit store day and date.
