Uncharted 2 Demo Already Played A Combined 27 Years

by Jeff Cork on Oct 08, 2009 at 04:26 AM

The Uncharted 2 demo was unleashed to the general public last week, and one thing’s for sure: The hive mind approves. In that short time period, PlayStation 3 players have accrued a variety of impressive stats. But one in particular stands alone. More than a million games played? Whatever. Nearly 2 million treasures capped? Oh, please. No, the number we can’t stop gawking at is the total time played. In just a few short days, the community has logged on 9,905 days of game time, which translates into more than 27 years worth of play. Yikes. Here are all the numbers, courtesy of the PlayStation Blog:

•    Total Number of games played – 1,217,424
•    Total Number of Kills – 92,110,787
•    Total Number of Treasures Captured – 1,860,645
•    Total Amount of Money Earned – $38,841,367,350
•    Total Time Played – 9,905 days (or 27+ years!)

It’s a pretty amazing stat that speaks to just how much players are anticipating the game’s release next week. Sony says it’s on track to become the most downloaded PlayStation Network demo ever. At this rate I don't see how it couldn't, even if that Evan Wells character seems a little suspect.
