Modern Warfare 2-themed Xbox 360 Announced
Microsoft and Infinity Ward revealed the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console at a preview event in Los Angeles yesterday.
“It’s the highest compliment to the team and our fans to have a special themed Xbox 360 console,” said Vince Zampella, CEO of Infinity Ward. “The precision and detail that’s been put into the console captures the intensity and feel of Modern Warfare 2.”
Details on the console have been posted on Xbox.com. The limited edition console is black, similar to the Xbox 360 Elite, but also has Modern Warfare 2 branding.
“The core vision for this was to make it feel like it’s a military piece of equipment,” said Brad Allen, senior artist at Infinity Ward.
The Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console includes a 250GB hard drive, which is more than twice the size of the largest available hard drive currently on the market. The hard drive will not sell separately. It also includes two wireless controllers, a headset and a standard edition of Modern Warfare 2. An HDMI cable will not be included according to Amazon.com.
The Modern Warfare 2 custom console is now available for preorder. Call of Duty fans can get their hands on this bundle on November 10 for $399.
