Question Of The Month: What Was Your Favorite Game Of 2017?

by Jeff Marchiafava on Dec 29, 2017 at 12:01 PM

The end of 2017 is upon us, which means most of us are busy arguing about our favorite games of the year. While you can expect a full rundown of G.I.'s 2017 picks and genre awards in January, you're under no obligation to wait for us. Now is your chance to declare your game of the year.

If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that gamers had some marvelous GOTY contenders to choose from this year. Sure, some highly anticipated games like Mass Effect: Andromeda and Battlefront II left players disappointed, but there were plenty of hits to make up for them. Nintendo led the pack this year with not just The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but also the phenomenally fun Super Mario Odyssey. Sony had a few blockbuster exclusives of its own to flout, including Horizon Zero Dawn and Persona 5, which I'm pretty sure goes on forever. And while Microsoft doesn't chase down exclusives like it once did, Cuphead and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds are certainly feathers in the caps of Xbox One owners.

So what was your favorite game of 2017? Share your pick in the comments below, and take a minute to outline what you loved about the game!
