Blog Herding – The Best Blogs Of The Community (September 14, 2017)

Destiny 2 got plenty of love within these hallowed blogging walls this week. Take a break from the alien blasting and loot drops, and get reading!

Community Blogs For September 7 – September 13:

Some Thoughts On Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
I didn't even realize this game had released until seeing Genera Mills44's blog. This is what he writes: "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is one of the best games to come out of this medium in years." It is not only a good game, but one that helps the writer relate to his own health issues. Between this blog and the fact that the game contains Norse gods, I am pretty sold.

A Revised Story Idea For Destiny 2
While it is great that Destiny 2 actually has a story, for McNutty891, it could have been so much better than what we got. Instead, the game adhered to basic video game logic in telling its story, which is probably important for gameplay's sake, but it does seem like maybe it was a missed opportunity.

My Hero Academia Is A Bundle Of Inspiration
Refle takes a timeout from games to discuss an anime about superheroes with special powers. From what he writes, this is a world as rich as any Marvel or DC superhero tale. It's an inspiring show thanks to its main character, and always reminds viewers to push their limits when reaching for a goal. Not a bad thing to hear every once in a while.

Reader Discussion: What's Your Ideal Crossover Game?
ConnorTrinske was inspired by Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle to pose a question: What is your ideal crossover game? I'm actually surprised anything with Rabbids could be good, but there have been plenty of solid crossover games over the years. And many characters have made memorable appearances in other series, like Mega Man and Sonic in Smash Bros.

Destiny 2: Did You Think I Would Be Okay With It?
Brendon Curzio rants a bit about Destiny 2 before getting serious about the quality of the game, calling it a vast improvement over the original. He's enjoyed it, but can't see playing it for long. Though I can't understand who doesn't see the appeal in downing monsters in Monster Hunter over and over again for a Rathalos Ruby. Don't rope Monster Hunter into Destiny's monotony, Curzio!

The Best Games Period: Episode 76 – Super Meat Boy
With Super Meat Boy's sequel being teased recently, it seemed like a good time to listen to Jack Gardner reflect on how good Super Meat Boy was. I just can't believe how old the game is now.
