Replay – Revelations: Persona

Persona 5 isn't just one of the best games of 2017, it's one of the greatest RPGs to date. In Game Informer's recently released Top 100 RPGs of All Time list, Persona 5 sits at number 19. Persona 4 is not far behind it at 30. These great adventures are trendsetting today, but their DNA is still tightly sewn to the first entry in the series, Revelations: Persona, which released for PlayStation in 1996.

We give you a good look at the opening moments of this historic game. Before you ask, we do reach a couple of battles to show off how fighting and persuasion are handled. We also discuss all things Persona, including the Shin Megami Tensei if... series that it's linked to. Joe Juba shows us that old games like this are not as intuitive as our memories make them out to be.

In our second segment we take a look at Ubisoft's most underrated game. No, you haven't heard of it, and no, we don't think Ubisoft will ever revisit it...unless you demand it over and over again.
