Blog Herding – The Best Blogs Of The Community (February 9, 2017)

by Game Informer Editorial on Feb 09, 2017 at 06:14 AM

We had a good number of excellent blogs this week, but don't take my word for it. Scroll down to see what community members were writing about!

Community Blogs For February 2 – February 8:

Everything Wrong with Titanfall 2
When I read StarterPack's headline I wasn't sure what the bad parts of Titanfall 2 would be. It has one of the best campaign's I've played in recent memory – and one of the best levels in any game, period. I disagree with our blogger, but he makes his points and I'm willing to mull them over.

The Five Best Moments in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
When it comes to Wind Waker, Refle seems to know the game well. I mean, any time you have the (spoiler) final battle from Wind Waker on any list, you know your Ganon battles. I'll never forget how Zelda helped in that battle before I pushed my sword through his forehead. Graphic stuff, but totally memorable.

Look at all the games!
Brendon Curzio caught my attention with this blog simply because I've felt the same way the past couple of weeks. Normally I don't buy too many games, but I had some Christmas cash I let myself use on Yakuza 0 and Nioh. Curzio totally hits the nail on the head when he talks about all the PS4 releases – and how bad it is for wallets everywhere.

Tackling the Backlog – Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
That General Mills44 is writing this is surprising. I was just thinking about picking this game back up. While I may have to restart it (I was only a couple hours in), Mills isn't so into the game. I loved what I played, but it is interesting to see a fresh take on the game years after its release.

Three Shades of Hard Mode
Craigaleg can't quit now. He's playing three games on their hardest difficulty settings, and it's not going super well. There was a time where I beat every Call of Duty game on Veteran, but that was in my younger, more carefree days.

Top 10 Games That Need to Die
StarterPack has written a divisive blog. I mean, Star Wars Battlefront is the only game I play consistently nowadays. But maybe you agree that there is too much Warcraft and Mario in the gaming world?

Community Reviews:

Resident Evil 7 Review
TonberryKing128 is here to tell you via video just why the latest Resident Evil game is a return to its roots – and a damn good game. Give his video a look. Chances are you'll want to pick up the game.

Review: Gravity Rush 2
Blogger Brendon Curzio is all about that gravity. "Gravity shifting never gets old," he writes. And I can't agree more. Now if only I would have purchased the first game when it was new and cheap on PS4. This series is a gem – even with its imperfections, such as the story and side missions.

Writing Challenge:

Nothing this week; from the sounds of it, some of you have some writing fatigue going on and need a break.

I hope you enjoy the blogs! Please contact me via my Game Informer page or on Twitter at @LouisGarcia12 with any blog news or playdate suggestions.
