Blog Herding - The Best Blogs Of The Community (January 7, 2015)
Happy New Year, bloggers! 2015 had its ups and downs (as some of you blogged about last week), but it's a new year, with new games and new adventures waiting for eager gamers.
Community Blogs For December 31 – January 6:
The
Many Things I Can't Resist Doing in A Video Game
When you read about what Writergirl2394 likes to do in video games, you may
find it a bit scary. But let's be honest: We've all tested the waters a bit
when it comes to pushing our limits in video games, whether that be playing as
a Renegade in Mass Effect or drowning Sims.
Most
Annoying Characters of 2015
Instead of writing about the best or worst games of 2015, Attackcobra write
about the ones we couldn't put up with. There's truly nothing worse than an
insufferable character in a good game. Who annoyed you in virtual worlds this
past year?
My
Top 20 Games Of 2015
Enuo is glad 2015 is dead and buried. Too much industry news was too sour for
our blogger. However, this doesn't stop Enuo from writing about his favorite
2015 games. I only played the two Wii U exclusives on this list (one to
completion), and they were both fantastic.
The
Best Games I Played in 2015
I like MightyMagikarp's list because BioShock is on it. I've been meaning to
replay the original for quite some time now (I really wanted my achievements to
reflect my 100 percent completion of the game that wasn't recorded on my
Gamertag), and reading about it again is giving me an itch to dive back into
Rapture.
Writing Challenge Responses:
Here's
to 2016 in Gaming
Craigaleg will begin 2016 by catching up on his backlog of games, including
some 2015 stunners. He writes that it's a bit of a problem considering what
2016 games have him interested. I totally get the struggle; time for playing
all of these games is just hard to find.
Hello,
2016!
Rebekah Lang is already batting a pretty good average when it comes to
completing some gaming resolutions. Other than that, she's excited about this
year's games. One in particular she's ready for is Dishonored 2. I'm with her
on that one.
Community
Writing Challenge: New Year = New Games: New Experiences. What I'm Looking
Forward In 2016
GerardoExber gives us the lowdown on all of his gaming dreams for 2016.
Here's hoping he can get to all of the games he writes about!
Community Reviews:
Assassin's
Creed Syndicate Review
Whirz gives Syndicate a glowing review. This is important considering the many
missteps the developer has had with the series. I've barely played any of the
games, but based on this review, I may have to jump in at Syndicate.
Community Writing Challenge:
Star Wars is all the rage (I love the new movie and have seen it twice) right now. Do you like Star Wars games? Which are your favorites? Tell us about them, and also write about what you'd like to see from a Star Wars game. I want a Sims-like game starring Ewoks. GLUB GLUB.
Community Playdate:
I'm currently rethinking how to best get the community gaming together, so expect this feature to come back soon this year. Everything should be back to relative normalcy at the end of January. In the meantime, please speak up on what would get you engaged with a community playdate.
I hope you enjoy the blogs! Please contact me via my Game Informer page or on Twitter at @LouisGarcia12 with any blog news or playdate suggestions.
