The 2015 Games Of The Year Reader's Poll Is Closed

by Jeff Cork on Dec 17, 2015 at 08:10 AM

Update: Thank you for submitting your votes. Look for the results in the February issue of Game Informer, which hits in early January.

Original story:

Now is your chance to declare which titles you most enjoyed the most over the course of the year. Vote for your favorite games, and do your part to make sure they make our Reader Games of the Year section in our upcoming issue.

Developers and publishers still struggled with the transition to current-gen last year, but 2015 was the year they got a handle on it. With few exceptions, the move to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are complete, and only a few games make their way over to older hardware.

Coming up with our Top 50 games of the year was tough (and no, we're not telling you what they are quite yet), considering the quality of games that 2015 brought. Whether your tastes leaned toward epic adventures such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Fallout 4, or bite-sized games like Splatoon or Rocket League, there were plenty of great options to choose from.

You may notice that some obvious picks aren't on the list. That could be because of our eligibility requirements. We only include final games, which means that Steam early access titles and beta games aren't eligible. Remasters, such as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection or The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D aren't either – as great as they might be. If a game is episodic, but the final episode hasn't released in 2015, that also keeps it off our list for this year.

To vote, please follow this link.

If we missed one of your favorites, let us know in the comments. If it's eligible, we'll add it to the roster.

Voting ends on Monday December 21, so be sure to make your voice heard before that deadline hits. Reader picks will be announced on the site early next year on the site, and they'll also be featured in the February issue of Game Informer.
