Would No Man's Sky Exist Without Minecraft?
While Hello Games founder Sean Murray is quick to point out that the two games aren't really that similar, the infinite potential of Minecraft has been a common touch-point for people trying to wrap their minds around the procedurally-generated universe of No Man's Sky.
While visiting the studio for our January cover story on No Man's Sky, I spoke with Murray in a lengthy interview about how he and the team are managing the levels of hype surrounding the game, and for a brief time we spoke about the influence of Minecraft on the game. Since it didn't really fit the theme of the over video, I decided to post the Minecraft discussion as a separate story.
