We're nearing the end of 2014, which means it's time for Game Informer to share its favorite songs of the year via a Spotify playlist!
With 18 editors, plus our wonderful production staff, our tastes are understandably eclectic. Expect many transitions into new genres as you meander through the long playlist.
Not all readers have as varied taste as we do, here is some guidance for fans of particular music genres. For hip-hop lovers, our rhyme bank includes the likes of Run The Jewels, Rick Ross, Jeezy, and Kendrick Lamar.Like dance friendly music? Listen to Sylvan Esso, Kiesa, Ra Ra Riot, and Zedd.
Punk/metal fans should make sure to check out Radkey,Greys, Banner Pilot, Mastodon (duh), and Behemoth.Rock and rollers can't go wrong with Ty Segall, The Orwells, Benjamin Booker, or Parquet Courts.For those who bathe in melancholy, we recommend Angel Olsen, Snowbird, Web of Sunsets, and the mopey version of Beck, who graced us with another solemn album this year.
