Sure, streaming, television, and video recording are great features to have in a console platform. They aren’t what gets you to open your wallet and bring home an expensive piece of gaming hardware. We’ve heard your pleas. You want games.

That’s why we’ve put together a quick rundown of the games to look forward to. We'll continue to update this list, and if you see something missing, please let us know. Here is everything we know that's planned for the PlayStation 4 in 2014.


Fluster Cluck - October 21

Just Dance 2015 - October 21
Ubisoft's annual dance franchise is a huge seller, and it's no wonder it'll be back. 

The Legend of Korra - October 21
Nickelodeon's hit cartoon is getting the video game treatment courtesy of Activision and Platinum Games. 

Race the Sun - October 21
Flippify’s endless runner is about going fast. As pilots of a solar-powered craft, players will need to speed across the terrain while dodging obstacles and attacks.

Samurai Warriors 4 - October 21
Tecmo Koei is delivering a huge helping of Musou this year. This branch of the franchise takes place in Japan.

Shadow Warrior - October 21
Swords, guns, and magic are your weapons in Flying Wild Hog's re-envisioning of this classic shooter.

The Walking Dead Season Two - October 21
The award-winning series continues later this year in a full, retail package. 

Lords of the Fallen - October 28
Players will take on the role of Harkin, humanity's last hope against a crushing tide of demons.

NBA Live 15 - October 28
EA is giving its basketball title another shot this year. This time, it's going head-to-head with 2K Sports.

Singstar - October 28
Sony's karaoke title makes the jump to PS4. 

Costume Quest 2 - "Halloween"
While not tagged with a specific date, Double Fine has promised to deliver the game around Halloween. Whether that means right on the day or shortly before, we don't know yet, but we're confident the studio will hit the mark.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - November 4
Nicalis has retuned and added to the hit PC indie title, now coming to both PS4 and Vita. 

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - November 4
Sledgehammer Games takes the reins for the first time in this year's Call of Duty title. The game takes place in 2054 and stars Kevin Spacey as the leader of the world's largest PMC.

Citizens of Earth - November 4
This failed Kickstarter was given a second chance by Atlus. Players will step into the shoes of the Vice President of the United States and assemble a party of normal people to fight monsters and aliens.

Rocksmith - November 4
Ubisoft's guitar tutorial game will let you rock out on PS4 soon. 

The Wolf Among Us - November 4
Telltale's take on the Fables comic series will be coming to retail. 

Assassin’s Creed Unity - November 11
This Assassin’s Creed title will be PC and new-gen only. After a leak forced Ubisoft’s hand, we got our first look at Assassins during the French revolution.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - November 11
Batman and friends take on Brainiac in an all new Lego adventure. 

Dragon Age: Inquisition - November 18
BioWare's upcoming return to Thedas is one of this fall's most anticipated titles.

LittleBigPlanet 3 - November 18
LittleBigPlanet 3 is under development at Sumo Digital, who has added three new characters with their own abilities.  

Far Cry 4 - November 18
The action moves from the tropics to the Himalayas this year. 

Grand Theft Auto V - November 18
The long-awaited new-gen update to Grand Theft Auto is coming this fall.

Never Alone - November 18
A puzzle platformer based on Alaskan native stories. 

WWE 2K15 - November 18
Wrestlng fans step into the ring on PlayStation 4 for the first time this fall.

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions - November 25
Activision has resurrected the Sierra label, and its first title is Geometry Wars 3. There are some changes to the formula, including boss battles and new multiplayer options. 

The Crew - December 2
Ubisoft’s open-world racer will finally be making an appearance this fall. Will the social features be the hook that the publisher hopes?

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris - December 9
Lara is back in a new, four-player adventure. The sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be out this December.

Aaru's Awakening - Undated
A platformer with hand-drawn art a teleport mechanic. 

Air Conflicts Vietnam Ultimate Edition - Undated
Take control of over 20 jets and helicopters during the Vietnam War.

The Elder Scrolls Online - Undated
Bethesda’s first MMO successfully launched on PC on April. Console fans will get their hands on it no earlier than late 2014.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture - Undated
The creators of Dear Esther’s next title begins when the world ends. As a scientist, you must uncover the secrets of what happened.

Exodus of Sol - Undated
An Unreal Engine 3-powered space shooter remake of PC game Sol:Exodus. 

Galak-Z - Undated
17-Bit’s top-down shooter is filled with anime-style art and a wide variety of enemy AI. The procedurally generated levels make this one that will keep even bullet hell veterans on their toes.

Hand of Fate - Undated
After a successful Kickstarter, Defiant Development is preparing an RPG that blends tarot and deck building. The board game aesthetic shifts to real-time battles during encounters.

Helldivers - Undated
Frantic and brutal, Helldivers is a twin-stick shooter for fans of crushing difficulty. With every player action impacting the war for all players, the campaign will dynamically change each time you play.

Home - Undated
Benjamin Rivers’ pixelated horror title will be making the jump from PC and iOS to PS4 and Vita later this year.

Hotline Miami 2 - Undated
The sequel to Dennaton’s bloody hit will be coming later this year. Our recent hands-on shows that not much has changed, but we didn’t find that to be a problem.

Hyper Light Drifter - Undated
Heart Machine’s upcoming title is deceptive. The pixelated aesthetic hides a deep experience with multiple abilities and challenging enemies.

Journey - Undated
ThatGameCompany's PS3 gem is getting an update for a new audience. 

Planetside 2 - Undated
Sony Online's massive online shooter will be making the move from PC to PS4 sometime this year. 

SlashDash - Undated
SlashDash is a 2v2 arena fighter that puts players in the role of teleporting, kunai-throwing ninja. Unlike most throwback arena titles, SlashDash is focused on capture the flag instead of kills. 

The Talos Principle - Undated
Croteam might be best known for Serious Sam, but this philosophical puzzler exhibits the studio's diversity and breadth. 

Tetris Ultimate - Undated
It's the 30th anniversary of one of the most important puzzle titles. Ubisoft is bringing Tetris back on new-gen platforms. 

Unfinished Swan - Undated
One of Sony's most beautiful PS3 exclusives is coming to PlayStation 4.

The Witness - Undated
Jonathan Blow (Braid) takes players to a secluded island where they will solve puzzles and discover a deeper narrative.
