Replay – Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose Vs. Buster's Hidden Treasure

by Tim Turi on Jul 19, 2014 at 03:00 AM

Many of us hold fond memories of the 16-bit era of colorful, cheery platformers. The Game Informer editors love sharing our nostalgia with one another over uncontested classics like Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Super Mario World, while other games spark heated debates. One such rivalry exists between two very different adventures starring a certain pantsless blue rabbit from Acme Acres.

Konami released two Tiny Toons platformers in 1993: Buster Busts Loose on the SNES and Buster's Hidden Treasure for the Sega Genesis. In this week's episode of Replay, editors Kim Wallace, Jeff Cork, Ben Reeves, and Tim Turi (me) debate the finer points and glaring weaknesses of each game. Will Buster's wall-running antics in Buster Busts Loose or the sprawling world map of Buster's Hidden Treasure win the day?
